Beyond Horizons

Harley-Davidson MY25 Brand Film

Beyond Horizons is another chapter in the four-episode series created for Harley-Davidson’s Model Year 25 brand campaign launch. Filmed on the otherworldly landscape of Antelope Island, Utah, this episode brought together the same core creative team: Director Luis Peña, Cinematographer Todd Blubaugh, still photographers Aaron Brimhall, Josh Kurpius, and Buddy Wilinski, Executive Producer Todd Aldridge, Creative Director John Cain, and Photo Producer Scott Toepher.

From the start, this piece was designed to embrace the elements. Unlike most shoots where clear skies are the goal, we wanted a storm. We prepared with a rain truck, rain towers, and a tight window on the road hoping for dramatic weather and fearing the opposite: a perfect, cloudless day.

Instead, we woke to the kind of chaotic weather that stops a set in its tracks. Heavy clouds, low visibility, and the lingering question of whether we’d capture anything at all. But with a bit of trust, a bit of instinct, and our resident weather guru’s quiet confidence, we held. And then the skies broke open.

What followed was everything this episode is about: the wild, unpredictable beauty of riding when the weather turns. Epic sweeping skies, dramatic light, wind, mist, and the kind of atmosphere you simply can’t manufacture—no matter how many rain towers you order.

Beyond Horizons speaks to a truth every rider knows: not every ride gives you sunshine. Sometimes the most memorable miles are the ones carved through storms.
